Price increase goes into effect for shipments from January 15, 2021
Tokyo, December 18, 2020 JAPAN VAM & POVAL CO.,LTD. (JVP) (Head Office: Sakai, Osaka, Japan, President Yoshiharu Koizumi) announced that it will increase the sales price of its Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA). This increase will go into effect for shipments from January 15, 2021.
Due to the sharp global rise in the prices of ocean freight, crude oil, naphtha, acetic acid and rising utility cost, JVP has made strenuous company-wide efforts to reduce costs; however, it has become difficult for the company to absorb all of the cost increases resulting from the sharp rise in the prices of ocean freight, raw materials and fuel. Under these circumstances, we now have to implement an upward revision in the price of PVA as follows,
