Price increase goes into effect for shipments from February 1, 2017
Tokyo, January 11, 2017 – JAPAN VAM & POVAL CO.,LTD. (JVP) (Head Office: Sakai, Osaka, Japan, President Shigehiro Nagura) announced that it will increase the sales price of its Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA). This increase will go into effect for shipments from February 1, 2017.
Due to the sharp global rise in the prices of crude oil, naphtha, acetic acid and rising utility cost, JVP has made strenuous company-wide efforts to reduce costs; however, it has become difficult for the company to absorb all of the cost increases resulting from the sharp rise in the prices of raw materials and fuel. Under these circumstances, we now have to implement an upward revision in the price of PVA as follows,
Area | Price Increase |
Asia Pacific | USD100/MT |
North America | USD100/MT |
South America | USD100/MT |
Middle East & Africa | USD100/MT |
Europe | EUR80/MT |
